【2008年3月10日（現地時間）米国カリフォルニア州スコッツバレー】ボーランドソフトウェアコーポレーション（NASDAQ：BORL）の開発ツール部門として開発ツール市場をリードするCodeGear（コードギア）は、本日、IBM System iアプリケーション開発向けの「Delphi/400（デルファイ400）」製品ファミリーを提供することを発表しました。System i開発者は、CodeGearのDelphi for Windows、Delphi for PHPの最新機能や実績のあるビジュアルRAD（Rapid Application Development）環境を利用可能になります。
Delphi/400とDelphi/400 for PHPを用いれば、IBM iSeriesおよびAS/400システムを利用する開発者は、迅速かつ容易な操作によって、レガシーのAS/400やSystem iアプリケーション用の、リッチなWindowsアプリケーションやWeb 2.0ベースのクライアントを構築できます。さらに、開発チームは、RPGやCOBOLの代わりに、DelphiやPHPといった近代的なWindowsおよびWeb開発向けプログラミング言語を使って、新しいアプリケーションを開発したり、既存システムを拡張することができます。
Delphi/400とDelphi/400 for PHPは、現在、CodeGearの開発ツールラインナップのひとつとして、販売開始しており、米国では、CodeGearから直接購入いただけます。
