My experience is that the code as written generates a "Property not found" error.I had to modify line that reads: \$this->ListBox1->Items[] = $this->Edit1->Text;to read as follows:$this->ListBox1->Items = $this->Edit1->Text;(removing the array brackets from "Items")Then it worked as advertised.

My testing shows Delphi for PHP will execute under wine emulation (on SuSE 10.2) but not really run. Every action gets an error, so it cant be used for any real work this way.

delphi for php quick start

Delphi for PHP is really a tool the php-world was waiting for, thank you CodeGear! So far we had so many different frameworks and no common structure but this will change with VCL for Delphi. And hopefully very dynamic and supported by the rest of the php community. What I asked myself the most right now are performance issues. As I understood so far Delphi for PHP is a combination of Javascript/CSS/HTML UI with server-site PHP code that generates this stuff, right? Does Delphi for PHP also support any kind of Browser- and/or Server-site caching? Is there some kind of pre-compilation/pre-intepretation of PHP-Code like .dcu in Delphi? Can I accellerate PHP code by using for example ZEND compilation. Is there native Linux support (easy to install on Linux Server)?Greetings to the development team and thankx again!best regardsUlf

Qstudio ... how it evolved ... a bit of visual history

Pearing the archive.org (The Internet Archive) ... just found some interesting QStudio pre-beta (0.1) screenshoots and even a binary ziped release. Take a look here: http://web.archive.org/web/20060430100649/www.qadram.com/qstudio.phpFor the pre "Delphi for PHP" version take a look here (still available) ...http://www.qadram.com/tour.phpIt can be observed the total depart from the original UI and paradigm, the pre-Delphi for PHP (beta QStudio) being very Delphi like (this just demonstrate again what <b>real</b> RAD really means ... just forgot about "Visual XX" labeling ...!) As for the "Delphi for PHP", it seams there are small UI changes, ando also want to mention the really nice splash (the PHP horse !)...All the best to the new "Delphi for PHP" (and CodeGear) , hopefully it will reiterate the "Delphi 1 (95)" success !
