Using VCL.NET with ECO - by David Clegg

I have both Delphi 2005 and BDS 2006 installed. I tried following your steps using 2005, but the code completion doesn't return OclService as an option for the FEcoSpace object. Everything went fine until then. I have gone back over the steps to make sure I didn't miss something. What am I missing?

I'm sorry you're having problems with this. I've investigated further and have found there is a problem with the steps outlined in the article. When I was instructing to search for available UML packages, no reference to the EcoSpace class has been added elsewhere in the source (e.g as a private variable in the main form). As a result, the compiler wasn't emitting any metadata for this into the executable. So when ECO is using Reflection to find all available UML packages, it can't find the classes in the ECO model.A simple solution to this is to add the following attribute into the EcoSpace.pas file :-[assembly: RuntimeRequiredAttribute(typeof(TEcoSpace))]
