.NET and Win32 inlining

"Repeat the exercise using a Delphi for .NET console application. This will show an even bigger performance increase (when using inline) compared to the performance increase with Win32."Why? Does it mean that CALLs are much less efficient in CLR/IL? The code shoul be jitted anyway, therefore what happens?

Borland Delphi 2005 Compiler, Language, and Debugger Enhancements

Having created the Namespace example, I thought I could then just include "use MyUtil" in another project (WinForms) having added a reference to the package. This, I thought, should give me access to both the TMyClass and TMyClass2 objects but it just comes up with "File not found: 'MyUtils.dcuil'". It's all very well being able to create namespaces but how do I use them?

re: Borland Delphi 2005 Compiler, Language, and Debugger Enhancements

For example:Docked layout, floating designer: it is impossible to put anything on the form: whenever you click on the palette, the form disappear!!!Undocked layout, floating designer: the Object Inspect disappear when the mouse is moved - *simply moved* - from over a control over another.Invoking i.e. the string list editor brings unwanted windows (i.e project manger, structure viewer) in foreground. Just check QC, all those annoying bugs are logged but noone gave them a look.I found them after two minutes I was using D2005 - it is impossible noone noticed them - I can reproduce them easily.

re: Borland Delphi 2005 Compiler, Language, and Debugger Enhancements

It depends on how many 3rd party components you have on the palette. The more the components, the more you have to wait. The palette looks to be not cached, and redrawn from scratch every time. I have JVCL, Developer Express and other components-rich libraries installed, resulting in a very slow response time.
