A bit dissapointed that the updates don't fix any of the real visible problems. Appart from the IDE being tediously slow, double clicking debug lines dosn't always drop you in on the correct line of code, very slow editor which causes some nasty problems when you cut and paste, and others. Hopefully Borland will address these issues in a much needed further update.

Borland edits articles and they suddenly appear as new items. Unfortunately, inspite of complains, borland appears too stupid to indicate that the article has been revised and how it has been revised. In this case, a link to the list of fixes is the mod.<sigh> Borland hasn't been able to write decent documents since Delphi 2, and even before that, it was hit and miss a lot of the time - Paradox 4 users know what I am talking about.Hey borland, get a freaking clue.
Yes, it was released quite a while ago, but, having no interesting things for us to post, they simply have reposted it.First, I thought it's a mistake and visited the Downloads section, thinking that Update 3 was released instead. Wrong! Thanks God, Delphi 7 still exists. After days of nightmare with Delphi 2005, I took a deep breath and installed Delphi 7.What a relief... Not everything is 100x faster and also 100x more reliable.Delphi 2005 is definately the worst Delphi release ever!Period

Am I going completely mad or wasn't update 2 released 6 weeks ago.Could anyone from Borland explain what is going on here? In fact, is anyone left at Borland or have Microsoft hired them all?I set about evaluating D2005 recently. With a few tweaks I got it to compile my companies 400,000 line project which is currently using D6. I wanted to rename a variable so I went for the much vaunted refactoring action to do just this and was rewarded with an unhandled exception. So, that pretty much killed any remaining enthusiasm for the product. How on earth a product with so many defects can be released by Borland is beyond me. I've seen all the versions from D1 upwards and this one is by orders of magnitude the worst quality. Which is a real shame because if the features worked we would upgrade in a shot.BORLAND: You won't get our money unless you produce something that works!Guess I'll be exploring the Visual Studio + Chrome combination next. Or perhaps we should bite the bullet and move to C#.....
