Well, you said short books, and it's true that Object Oriented Software Construction is a big chunk of a book. I received my "object oriented illumination" reading the first edition. It's true that Eiffel complex inheritance solution has become obsolete with interface-based languages...And I would add Danny Thorpe's DCD. Please, give the man a sabbatical year for writing a new edition!!!

My boss got the book 'Object-Oriented Technology: A Managers Guide', I have a glance on the book and I found it is concise and good for managers to read. I think I need to borrow it from my boss and read it later.

I read the first 2 chapters of 'The Mythical Man Month, Anniversary Edition' in July 2002. It was provided by my MSc lecturer on IT project management module as pre-study reading material for helping us to do a prestudy assignment. It was a good reading material.
