"All software is buggy": yes, and we all, humans, die. But some of us die sooner, and others, later. Delphi 6 has broken all records regarding patching frequency. What would be right for Microsoft, it's not what we expect from Borland's history. And no, problems with an operating system are not comparable to problems with a programming language environment: complexity of both is different. And while I appreciate a timely solution for a bug, I don't see "normal" an Update Pack introducing new problems, as UP2 did.

Software was, is and will be buggy. There are thousands bugs in Delphi, Windows, Linux .... Keeping your system updated protects you from spending the time by searching bugs which was already fixed. I appreciate these Public Betas because it is better than waiting for another update.

I have lost my count about the number of "updates" I have to install in order to have a Delphi 6 working fine! I appreciate the efforts, but I can't see this situation as anything near normal (every time I see or hear the word "variant" I feel sick). And I gave up a long time ago keeping my help system up to date...
