Delphi 6 Code Completion Missing Feature

I have uploaded a new version of the project that fixes bugs in customising the Code Completion colours (they weren't saved).I also corrected the name of the Masks unit to be mask (without the s) as mentioned in a separate comment. That gets rid of all the issues I've heard of now. Also, I'm glad the problems with personal units have been resolved. As long as the unit names are correct and accessible to the compiler, it should function just fineI gather someone was using this app (or the form from it) as a template for a new IDE add-in to help enhance the existing Code Completion customisation features with the features opened up in my project. Not sure if it's done yet, but they said they would make it available through Code Central when it was

I totally missed the point in your article about invalid filenames causing the feature to break. After I followed Giselher Herzer's instructions from another thread (changing "Masks" to "Mask" and removing "MTSObjs") everything worked as advertised. Thanks for the article -- this is a very cool feature and will undoubtedly save me a lot of time in the future.st

Delphi 6 Code Completion Tool - Bugs in Default Units!?

Here are some corrections to the Default-List of the ExtraUnits implemented in the CodeCompletionSettings Unit:1. Masks -> should read Mask (without an s at the end)2. cancel the entry MtsObj in the ExtraUnits list.Else the code completion box does not appear at all after Ctrl+Space after applying the Defaults implemented in the CodeCompletionSettings-Unit (holds at least for the personal edition of Delphi).Giselher Herzer

Works with default units but not mine

This is cool, but it only seems to work with the default file list. I have my own library of functions called "stFunctions" but I can't seem to make any of them pop up with CTRL+SPACE. I've tried adding it to the list as both "stFunctions" (it's in my library path) and as a fully-qualified "x:\lib\stFunctions.pas" but neither has any effect.I have, for example, a function called UTrim which just nests a call to Uppercase(Trim(Value)). I use it all the time, so I look forward to this tool saving me the trouble of having to pop up to the implementation uses clause and adding "stFunctions" in there. However, using Mr. Long's CodeCompletionSettingsU file as a guineau pig, I went into TMainForm.FormCreate and started typing: S := UT... [Ctrl+Space]and all I see are the UTF8... methods from System.Am I missing something obvious?

And your tool works nicely here!Did you notice one interesting bug in the CodeCompletion, btw. Ctrl+Space, then notice the first entry in the list:"procedure Finalization"This is not a normal procedure, of course, but one ofthe finalization sections in some unit. And including itin the source code will disable it from compiling - becauseit is a keyword...
