Maybe i'm stupid but i also have this problem using ADO 2.1.So it has nothing to do with 2.6 actually. This serious problem (and several others using Delphi/ADO) forced me to drop Delphi for a number of projects.

Same here!I'm using Delphi 5, Enterprise with Update Pack 1 installed. The ADO Update Pack 2 appears to install just fine, but leaves no evidence that it did, in fact, update Delphi (the "About" box still shows Update Pack 1).I also still get the same error "Either BOF or EOF is true..."

I still receive the error "Either EOF or BOF..." when closing an empty TADOQuery. I use D5 professional with update pack #1, ADOExpress, ADOExpress update pack #1 and #2, and MS ADO 2.6.The second update pack for ADOExpress is said solve exactly this problem, but it seems not to. What can (I) be missing? (I HAVE recompiled the whole project). Thanks in advance.Troels Fjordbak Larsen
