As the others guys who had problems with starting jbuilder, I'm first blocked face to the fact that my evaluation version refuse to start in my Windows 2000 !I also checked and re-checked the font folder for shortcuts and files properties, and after replacing some shortcuts, the problem remain. As I absolutely want to test jbuilder 7, I've finded a way to do it.I know that it's not the good way, but it work (not without bug, but ...), and now jbuilder 7 work with j2sdk1.4.0.How ? Simple, just copy the j2sdk1.4.0 to jbuilder7 folder then modify the file /jbuilder7/bin/jdk.configand make some modifications to point on the good folders and jars files.Ex: Let suppose your j2sdk1.4.0 is in c:\jbuilder7\j2sdk1.4.0 modify like this: javapath ../j2sdk1.4.0/jre/bin/client/jvm.dll addpath ../j2sdk1.4.0/lib/tools.jar !Info! You should modify this line: javapath ../jdk1.3.1/jre/bin/hotspot/jvm.dll like this: javapath ../j2sdk1.4.0/jre/bin/client/jvm.dll Ok, it's not exactly the same but it should start first! And now you should be able to start JBuilder.Another tips:You can edit the file "user_fr.properties" located in your user folder (c:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\.jbuilder7\)and remove the value of the following entry like this:history;directory.last=history;files.active=history;files.reopen.1=.history;projects.active=history;projects.open.1=Why ?Jbuilder try to open it when starting and when displaying, it crashe !Why ? I don't know !And now, a question to jbuilder team:If we considere you're the reference in the world of java IDE, don't you think it's now time to ask to Sun Microsystem to work with you to find a CORRECT solution to this problem, and, really, give us a link to a patch, or an URL, or directly a patch, or a real explanation of this problem which seem to be more that an isolate case ?We need to find a solution to this problem, because since jbuilder4, I'm unable to run it on my computer (and as I can read I'm not alone), and in regard to the price of your product, we expect that you will do your best to solve it (since 4 major releases, it's time, no ?) For the moment, we are not ready to buy it while it crashe! (nonsense)So, please, do anything!I hope this will help you.Any remark or comment or solution ? Please, let me know at stephane.bury@irislink.comBest regards,SteF.

I'm getting java.exe and javaw.exe error messages in JBuilder4, when I try to run an application. All other Java related applications run fine outside of JBuilder. I looked at the Fonts file and found no shortcuts, so that is not my problem. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank You
