OK, now I am could get in a panic. I know zilch about programming. I am thinking about talking a class so in my enthusiam I downloaded JBuilder4. However, the professor told me to uninstall JBuilder because it would be too complicated for me to learn. (It wasn't working properly anyway as all the graphics were smudging.) I have uninstalled per directions on FAQ, but when I try to open a .java a box comes up saying I need JBuilder to open files of type JavaSource. How can I remove this association? Are there any techs or other smart people who read this and can please help? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

On the one-hand, it's a free download. On the other-hand, the free download demonstrates a small fraction of the enterprise product. I want to test-drive JSP development, take a look at those debugger features, etc. I can't.I had to take some Pepto-Bismol to keep my lunch from short-circuiting my keyboard when I read this article. This is the kind of uninstall procedure that I'd expect from a shareware outfit...very unprofessional. It sort of reminds me of those dating services. Some people are better off NOT including their picture. I hate to say it, but you might get more business if you lower your price point and force people to pay for a "preview".At this point, I'm thinking to myself, "okay that enterprise version is one feature-packed product. If they don't have the time to put together an uninstaller for the simple version, how much effort did they put into ensuring that the product is high-quality software? My guess...not much."I'm left with a very negative impression of Borland's software products. Sorry to say. I remember the days of Turbo Pascal and Turbo C++ when Borland kicked *ss.When I see a Borland Banner Ad that reads: "Quality tools yields quality software...now with full uninstaller!" I'll reconsider. For this product cycle, I think we're gonna go with VisualAge.

This is a crappy software. I could not find java extension in the "file types". But it is associated with JBuilder all the time, even I removed it. I will never use Borland software anymore.

I completely agree. I can't believe they didn't allow for uninstalling. What a crap piece of software. I don't think I'll use any Borland products any more. What a piece of rubbish - what kind of developers do you have?

How do I uninstall JBuilder 4?

Sorry, the shown deinstalltion procedure must be a joke ! There are so many JBuilder entries in the registry and the user should delete them all manually ? I really can't believe this !!! Every product makes an entry in the software category of the windows control panel to uninstall this automatically but JBuilder is the first program that doesn't have this normal feature. Really not very nice !!!!
