Hey Alexander, don´t be so sad ... it brings me the blues too.But man, if I could understand it right, why don´t you move on as is Charlie doing.Get involved in a new project. You have God inside yourself too.So let´s help him do its job (make us happy and useful people).Hey, you´re not the only one feeling that, sometimes I do it too.But it brings us nowhere.I am still start coding in CBuilder and Delphi...You, as far as I know, is experienced in doing this.Let´s talk, I do have some ideas and need someone to talk with about them.Depending on the people who gets involved with, they could be great projects for the final users.Keep in contact, because Brazil (where I do live) is a country not so different for the one that you live.Best wishes,Joelson Coelhojcoelho@cpovo.net(personall) or ten_coelho@cmpa.tche.br(work e-mail)

I find this article great. I think that it's author is the man who really understand what the meaning of his live is. I am sure that Borland is the most amazing team of all ever existed not because they are masters of code and technology, but because they use their great experience and knowledge to make this world better! In my lifetime there were no posibilities to become a member of group of creaters of something important in the computer world and this fact makes me feel myself useless. Now I am an young C/C++, Assebler programmer. I am intereseted in system programming and 2D/3D graphics. I have some self-made engines which provide good quality and speed. But what I finally get ? - Nothing. Because I am living in Lithuania (it is a country near The Baltic Sea), and there is no need of people of my kind. I am just dying here! You may ask me, why am I telling this? Because I want you to compare my life and life of Borland workers. I am crazy about programming, but I mean nothing. They do that they want to do and they are Gods.P.S. sorry about possibly bad use of english.

Good luck to you, Charlie Calvert! I have enjoyed reading your books and learning a great deal from them - ever since"Teach Yourself Windows Programming in 21 Days". I liked the style of your writing from the first. In that first bookthat I read, you mentioned that one of the programs contained a tribute to John Lennon (Number Nine). I thoughtthat was pretty cool! Then later, you wrote "C++Builder Unleashed", and I was (and still am) just as excitedabout CBuilder as you are. And I've also read some of your Delphi Unleashed prose. I know you will keep theBorland faith!Bill BreamProfessional Delphi Programmer and C++Builder Shareware Programmer
