In the Museum: Turbo Pascal v1.0

A few weeks back, I dug out my Osborne Executive & fired it up. Wow. 2 seconds boot time to bring up CP/M+! Those WERE the good old days.Dug around a bit & found the Turbo Pascal 1.0 CP/M disk & started it up, & played with it a bit. Then spotted Walt Bilofsky's UVMac CP/M Macro Assembler (Software Toolworks) Disk. Whew. It's been a while. My kids thought I was nuts, LOL. "That's a COMPUTER??? It looks like luggage! Where's the Mouse?"If anyone has an interest, I could copy the disk over to an IBM format & zip them up. If Borland doesn't want to post it, (& they don't care if I do,) I could post it at my site.

Wordstar2000 commands are quite simple. The bets way to remember them is to look in the Help of TP 3.0 (F1)If I remeber right, there are three pages, simple/basic, advanced, expertit's easy as cakenot guaranteed, but from my volatile organic memory :Ctrl-K-X to exitCtrl-K-D to define start of a blockCtrl-K-K to copy the previously defined blockCtrl-K-V to paste itCtrl-O-O to insert compiler's directives (still works in Delphi 7 ;-)

Turbo Pascal v1.0 Z80 version could really be useful

I would also be interested in the Z80 version. The Sharp Wizard OZ-800 PDA evidently runs on one of the 32bit z80 successors, and currently there are some folks trying to develop alternative PDA apps. It's been years since I coded z80 in any form, but I do remember surrendering my beloved Digital Research PL/I-80, and less used mbasic and cbasic for TP1.0 after reading Pournell's article, and not looking back. (If only I could find my original 8" licensed media, *and* something to read it with.... maybe a treasure hunt for spring cleaning time <g>) I'm sure that the system support routines would have to be reworked, but I'm sure there is someone who can...-h
