I've seen your article and thought it was wonderfull.I used BDE to access Paradox, Access and MSSQL Server 7 databases and had no problems with that, but, when I tried to use it with MSSQL Server 2000, I experienced so many problems that I decided to try the ADO technology. The experience was terrible. I had to many problems too, such as bugs with calculated and lookup fields in TFields.I called the Borland Support in São Paulo, Brazil, and they told me that they are discontinuing the BDE support for MSSQL Server and suggested me to use ADO.So, I think that the answer is, if you are using MSSQL Server 2000, fight agains it, else, use BDE.Thanks in regards,Vinicius Franco - vfranco@iag.puc-rio.br
