Diamondback preview: Data remoting for ADO.NET

Presented by: Jason Vokes

Jason Vokes demonstrates the ease of remoting data in a heterogeneous database environment with Diamondback. His BDNtv episode includes setting up a local DataHub for both MS SQL Server and InterBase, then dropping the remote server component on it to make it a remote server. He then creates a client for this, and updates tables in both databases simply by calling one method of the DataHub component. See his BDN article on data remoting for more information.

If you want to be sure you get Diamondback as soon as it is available, you can purchase Delphi 8 with Software Assurance right now, and continue to receive all updates to Delphi for the next 12 months.

For more information on Delphi 8, see the Delphi 8 Home Page, and the Delphi community on BDN.
